The <strong>yellow movable sensor<\/strong> sits under the media path. Slide it sideways so the sensor alignment arrow points at the media mark:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Hole \/ notch paper<\/strong> \u2014 set the sensor to the <strong>center<\/strong> (or the intended alignment position) so the hole passes in front of the sensor window. See the <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.zebra.com\/us\/en\/printers\/desktop\/bm-zd410-desktop-printer-user-guide-ditamap\/c-zd410d-ug-setup\/c-zd410d-ug-get-ready-to-print\/c-zd410d-ug-load-roll-media\/c-zd410d-ug-the-movable-sensor\/c-zd410d-ug-adjust-the-movable-sensor-for-black-marks-or-notches.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Zebra black-mark documentation<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Close the lid, then run a media calibration (SmartCal): hold <strong>PAUSE<\/strong> and <strong>CANCEL<\/strong> until the printer advances and calibrates (exact steps for your model are in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zebra.com\/content\/dam\/support-dam\/en\/documentation\/unrestricted\/guide\/product\/zd410d-ug-en.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ZD410 user guide<\/a>).<\/p>\n<h2>Check that the printer is ready<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Steady green status LED<\/strong> \u2014 the printer is ready to print.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Blinking green LED<\/strong> \u2014 press <strong>FEED<\/strong> once to advance a ticket \/ leave the waiting state, then check that the LED becomes steady green again.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Factory reset<\/h2>\n<p>On desktop models such as the <strong>ZD420 \/ ZD620<\/strong> (and similar), there is <strong>no<\/strong> paper-clip RESET button.
